my pc is showing that there is no audio hardware installed and now i get no sound, cant play music or anything involving sound, the only noise that i hear at anytime is a beep when shutting windows down, i think the sound software / hardware has been deleted or unistalled, how do i fix this?

Sounds like you either have a virus or you have re-installed your operating system recently. Maybe use the Cd's that came with you computer to update the driver. If not then try searching for your sounds card on google or better still try searching for your pc make and model on google and you should come out with an answer. If you are able to add to your question then add your pc make and model and i will try and help you out

hey your sound drivers are missing or may be your sound card has gone off if you can get the sound drivers related to your sound card then it would be of great use as your sound would be back and if not then get help of a hardware engineer
and the beep sounds that you hear must be from the CPU a inbuilt beeping sound

Download and install the driver for your sound card...look on the manufacturer's web site for the drivers.

I solved the priority by technique of taking off the controll pannel, then open equipment, then click on gadget manager, go down the list till you stumble on sound, video and recreation and so on, in case you spot a Yellow ! mark you've a fault,click on the + and choose an option, correct click on the mouse and click on refresh. If this does not artwork that is going to on the spot yopu to insert disc that got here with the computer. it really is going to then re-programme

control panel then system then hardware tab then device manager any thing with a yellow ? wont work right click on yellow? properties then update driver follow prompts

reinstall the drivers. that should be on your speaker cd or if it is the audio that came with the computer, it should be with your computer software. if you don't have any of those cds, search the internet for the drivers for your brand of speakers.
