Studs or Blades ?

Studs definitely! Research shows that blades cause more damage both to the wearer and to the opponent. I had a pair of bladed boots, and ended up with more twisted ankles than i care to enjoy. May have just been me, but since resorting back to studs i haven't had any bother. BBC did a documentary a while back but this is only thing i could see about it....

Personally I've always found blades make me go faster (either that or I'm imagining things..which is likely). My bladed boots are always a lot more comfortable to play in and I've never had any problems in terms of injuries.

In the late nineteen fifties, as a by-product of the space-race, Cape Canaveral experimented with the talking boot.
It was considered too dangerous for American sports but the oafs who played Association Football were considered expendable and six pairs were secretly issued to men with various first division clubs.
An earphone socket allowed the player to hear the instructions from the right boot which concerned itself with tackling, shooting and passing.
The other boot was on the useless left foot (the technology was not up to producing a left-sided set or ambidextrous pair) and it knew it was best to keep its trap shut.
It COULD comment on the weather or exchange banter with the fans but its contribution to play was negligible.
In the 1958 FA Cup final between Codsworth Shipley and Accrington Dwarves, Codsworth's Spider Beasley wore them whilst playing centre-half.
He was always in the right place at the right time and even scored a hat-trick before half-time.
The Dwarves smelled a rat but couldn't discover what was going on, even though Beasley was wearing a huge bakelite headset with an ariel attached to it.
Footballers were just as stupid back then.
But the Dwarves' manager, Wilf Hinckleigh had served with the Signals during the war and knew enough about conductivity and the short wave.
At half-time he burst into the opposing team's dressing room and threw a bucket of water over Beasley's head which crackled for a bit then burned furiously for a moment.
The brave pivot played the rest of the match with his head in a towel but it did his team no good as Codsworth scored goal after goal while the towel-blinded Beasley ran about aimlessly on the pitch, in the crowd and outside in the street.
The experimental boots were never put into production, the Russians put a man into space but America landed on the moon.
Or Mars.
Or something.

I had always wore baldes, i had purchased a pair of addias predators when it surfaced about the dangers of blades, my school banned them which meant i had to switch to studs. Personally i still prefer blades i think they provide mord stabilty and control when on and off the ball.

I've always have worn blades until recently. Basically, use blades. But make sure they are not the metal ones because some referees don't allow them because they are dangerous.

Studs. Especially for softer turf.

The blades are better, especially those from Adidas.

Definitely studs. They're what most professionals use and, apart from the diving, it seems to serve them pretty well.

Depends. I wear studs and think that they are better-you can wear them on hard and soft ground. Adidas are the best.
