I just cut my Bermuda down slightly shorter than I keep it in the summer, then put Scott's winterizing Weed & Feed on it. That should help minimize the spring weeds. Do it soon - Walter Reeves has already said that it might be too late for winterizing. And to clarify bugear001's advice on fertilizing and watering, that's when the grass is actively growing, not year-round. Works like a charm!

After you cut it for the last time, get some "good" winterize. Most come with a pre-emergent to prevent weeds in the spring. Water that in. In the spring, you will have to "scalp" the Bermuda. After you have done that, put down another pre-emergent with regular fertilizer and you will be good to go. Remember, fertilize every 5 weeks and water at least twice a week. Mow "regularly"....it will keep down any weeds that you may get. Always mow in a different pattern. Do not mow in the same pattern every time. Your lawn will look great. Mine does!!!!!! and don't forget to water over the winter if you don't get any rain. The lawn still needs water even though it is dormant!!!

Go to Home Depo's lawn & garden dept. and ask them. I use Scott's brand & it has always worked great for me but they can tell you exactly what you need.
