First of all, I'll say what a soul mate is not. A soul mate is not your other half. They do not "complete" you. Nobody can complete you except YOU. You are a whole person all by yourself. The equation 1/2 + 1/2 = 1 does not work when it comes to relationships. Put simply, a soul mate is that person who makes the equation 1 + 1 > 2 a reality. Together, you become more than you could have alone and you are able to achieve more as a couple than both of you could have done by yourselves. This happens because you see the world in a very similar light. You are able to communicate your innermost feelings with no effort whatsoever. You are on the same emotional frequency and wavelength. You know deep down in your soul that your love will remain no matter what challenges present themselves. Time apart is irrelevant. I always feel sorry for those who do not believe such a relationship is possible, but I understand because I once felt the same way. Even though I have been lucky enough to have found my soul mate again (separated for 25 years), I sometimes can hardly believe the power and intensity of such a love and what it can accomplish.

A soul mate is someone you know and trust. Someone you've known for a credible amount of time and whom you can relate with. You would take a bullet for this individual just for the reason that you feel he or she is worthy of lasting longer in life than yourself. You know this person is your soul mate when you are willing to lay your life down because you honestly and unselfishly believe that this person is your better half. Not necessarily someone you would have to marry, just someone worthy enough, in your life, to call your best friend!

a soul mate is an excuse made up by modern society to hop from one person to the next.
example: my soul mate would NEVER chew their nails because they would KNOW that i don't like that.
i think they are my soul mate, they finish all my sentances and they are so DEEP! guess i'll have to file for divorce...
they are my soul mate, they make me FEEL good.
give me a break! relationships are hard. anything worth fighting for is hard. the idea of a sould mate is that there is one person out there that is made for you and will make you all happy and everything is downhill once you find that one person. not! life is tough and so are relationships.
you find someone you can love and that loves you you hold on tight and be stright and honest and loving with that person!

A soul mate is someone you can be with, finishes your sentences, and complements you in every way.. Better said.. completes you. You know yo've found yours when you just cant help yourself and feel so attached to someone, and comofortable and ok,. Thats probably youre soulmate

It is like finding a person who makes you feel complete.I have a soul mate,I think about him all the time.We can't stand being apart from one another.When we are not together we text over 10 times a day,phone each other all the time.The thought of not being without that person ever is unbearable.It is like being one person,the missing piece of the jigsaw.There is 100% trust,nothing is too much trouble for that person.The love feels all consuming.When I haven't seen my man for a couple of hours,and I see him I get butterflies in the pit of my stomach.Every day is like the first day.I could go on and on.

A soulmate is the person that just meshes with you. It's like you have a connection, but don't really understand why. And I think you just know when you find that person. There ins't a distinct sign to look for, it is unique to your situation.
