why so i keep getiing a corrupt file it says i need to run chkdsk utility and it says it is unreadable?
what did i do? how do i run it? it wont stop comming up

and i cant run scan disk?
whats the matter?

You did not necessarily do anything
Either the data got scrambled so it can not be read, it is encrypted and you don't have the decryption code, or it is stored in a bad sector which can not be read.

RESULT -- an unreadable file.

One way to fix is delete the file and reload file from backup. You DO have a backup, I hope.

Open a command prompt (Start-->Run and type cmd and press enter). Type chkdsk /r and press enter...you might have to reboot to have it run...this will check your entire disk for errors.
