You cannot jump start a fuel injected car. If the starter motor is faulty it will not connect to the fly wheel. Get it changed or change it yourself.

Check your fuses/relays. I'm having trouble with mine, but everytime I go to a mechanic/electrician and tell them I'm having trouble with my Rover 45, I end up leaving because I can't stop them laughing.
