They have to obey the same laws as everyone else living in the UK - unless of course you happen to be a foreign diplomat in which case you can claim diplomatic immunity for pretty much anything.

It's clearly the way forward.

I agree that British people would have to follow the laws if we lived in another country - but I'm not sure there's a law against walking up the street with your face covered - this is a pretty free country after all thank goodness - and we can all wear what we like - face covered or not - as long as it's decent

Muslims living in this country do have to abide by UK law. The *vast* majority of them do fully obey the laws of this country.

There isn't any law which prohibits people from walking up the street with their face covered. If there were, people wouldn't be allowed to wear balaclavas or motorcycle helmets.

For goodness sake, the small minority of Muslim women who choose to wear a veil aren't breaking ANY laws at all. In fact, they're probably amongst the most law-abiding of all sections of our population!

Firstly there is no law against wearing the veil. Secondly, there is not a single English and Welsh or Scottish Law that a Muslim can not happily abide by. Also, if you really need red wine in a Muslim country you can drink it at hotels, some Muslim countries will allow you to drink in other places too.

Question: Give me an example of a Law that a Muslim breaks.

You have given one example and that isn't even an example of breaking the law!!! Why have you used the word LAWS instead of LAW if you can only think of one example?

It depends what you mean by "our" laws. General decency is a must for all regardless of where you are living; expecting everyone to behave the same way isn't. Face it, there are aspects of British laws and cultures that we should frankly be ashamed of, and they have nothing to do with the muslim community.

If you were making reference to the wering of the veil, then there is actually no law saying you cannot wear it. Laws that are actually in place should be followed by all regardless of religion etc. Altthough we can't actually claim that all British people do this in the first place.

BTW- It's possible to be British and Muslim you know.

Yes, if you went to a Muslim country, you will have to obey their laws. No matter where you live, you have to obey laws, but it is the laws that you have to obey, not the opinions of others.
