State or federal? Jessup? And do you mean "old law" parolee? If the asker is old enough to qualify for parole, which was abolished years ago, they should know they have to check with their P.O.. If the parolee was paroled years ago, it shouldn't matter. But then it's up to the whims of the counselors and warden as to who's approved, and who isnt'....

The only way to find out is to apply to get on their visiting list. My husband has several people on his list with records, including felonies. Those convictions were from a long, long time ago, which may have some bearing on their approval.

Dunno about Georgia but in NY they was allowed after the parole was finished! So if you got 5 yrs parole you maybe able to visit after 3! If ya a good little girl!
