The democrats want government to control everybody's money and make everybody be nice to each other.The republicans want to control what every other country is doing and they want government to stop everybody from sinning.God gives us free will.Are these politicians above God?

Your characterization of Democrats is incorrect. Republicans are for bigger government. They've expanded it for the last 6 years ways. As for control -- are you aware of the USA PATRIOT ACT (the official name is capitalized) the NSA spying, the threats against reporters, and new military court system that takes away trial rights? You think these new laws and practices only apply to terrorists? They don't, they can apply to anyone, and good luck proving yourself innocent!

No. Politicians are obsessed with
1. Money (for their reelection)
2. Influence within their own circle (ability to influence unions, corporations, lobbyists, OTHER influential persons, etc.) and make their phone ring.

No. They are mostly obsessed with self promotion and power. Think about it. If you had the chance to use public office to promote your agenda and get rich while doing it, wouldn't you? Be honest - I darn sure would.
