I asked a few friends for referrals but none of the doctors suggested are accepting new patients with my health insurance.

If you have a card, there should be a number on the back to be able to call and ask CS about doctors in your area, and they should even be able to 3 way you to make sure they accept new patients and get you set up with your first appointment. That is the best way to go. If you don't have your card, but you do have a doctor you were seeing (either primary or gyn) you can aske their office if they can recommend a pediatrician to your baby under that kind of insurance. Most of them will know many having dealt with mayn babies and will be glad to help.

Check with your insurance company. They have a list of which doctors accept their insurance. Then call the doctor to see if they really are still accepting the insurance.

I just went through the same problem. I look up my insurence company online a got a list of doctors then called until I found one.

Ask the insurance company for a list of participating pediatricians in your area. They probably have it on a website somewhere.

most insurance companys will provide you with a list of doctors that accept their insurance. if they didn't provide you one you can call them and ask for one, or if they have a website it may be listed. or if for some reason you can't do that, if you are looking at a specific doctor you can always call their office and ask them if they accept your insurance.

call your health insurance ask them to send you a book that tells you names of doctors who take your insurance.

Check on the website for your insurance carrier or you should have been mailed a booklet that lists all the providers.
