i know i'm going to spell his name wrong, but the answer is jaque villineuve. jack rousch has been in serious discussions with him for a while now, and if he gets the right offer, he is ready to jump. i know he has won a couple of F1 titles, but i don't know if he is currently driving, since i don't follow F1. paul tracy is a no driving loser, he has driven some busch races, but he does not have the talent to make it at the cup level. i've also heard wheldon has expressed interest in NASCAR. he's a good driver, he would be an asset. hornish has already turned down offers, he says he is not interested.

Patrick Carpantier, even though he's hooked up with the Samax Motorsport team for Grand-Am 2007, he's looking at a NASCAR career.
Jacque Villeneuve has made it clear that as long as there wasn't a single, unified open-wheel series in North America, he won't join either the IRL or Champ Car. He's not ready to put away the helmet, so he's also looking at NASCAR apparently.

Hornish is going to do the Phoenix Busch race so there is the next one right there.

Maybe "Crash" Tracy. He has driven in tests for a couple of Nascar and Busch teams.

Though it wont be this year I think it will be Danica. I'm not sure how she would do in the larger, heavier cars but I think marketing wise it would be a knockout.
