I am totally against ID cards but not for your stupid reason !
My reason is that all the computerised systems the government
( funny Brown & Blair being from where you come from )
has introduced have been a coque-up ( CSA & NHS ) for example, there are others.
If ID-cards are messed up can anyone imagine what a total disaster that will be ! I would not like to be the first who is refused entry into my own country because some plonker put some weird
info on to my ID ! No one can actually check if your details are right !
I have joined Liberty ,they are fighting against ID-cards !
I lived in Germany for a while and they have ID cards and 3 of the 9/11 bombers where living there before they went to the US !

You can't do anything nowadays without producing I.D. documents. You can't even open a bank account. This is for valid reasons. It is to prevent money laundering by drug dealers etc. I am Scottish and I would not object to having an I.D. card. Whether you like it or not you need a British Passport to leave the country - you can't just stay in this country for the rest of your life to prove a point. Some of the points made by the English people above are absolutely ridiculous - do they think we are all beer swilling louts who are sitting on the dole?

Why is it that whenever a Scot poses or answers a question, the said person seems to have a massive chip on the shoulder. This is just another example. I suppose you are just another ginger nut, half pissed, skirt wearer who doesn"t work for a living. If you want I"ll send you some Vaseline to help ease the passage of the I.D.Card up your own ****. GET A LIFE. Although living up there it must be difficult.

I don't class myself as British either but I would have no problem carrying an ID card providing it actually does the job it's supposed to but I don't think I should have to pay for it if it ever becomes compulsory. If the government wants people to carry them, then they should fund it.

I believe we will have ID cards not because we need them but the ruling party has to be seen to be doing something constructive, there are I am sure plans afoot to install the system it depends how much tax they can make without screwing the general public too much.

Do you feel the same conscience when you sign on for dole and receive English peoples hard earned taxes?

Why don't you come down to London like the rest of your lot that I have to walk past when they are trying to flog me a big issue or a penny for a cup of tea (or meths).

You'll be subject to the same laws as everyone else, sonny boy. If you think your principle is worth a fine and a criminal record, then great. Just don't expect to draw dole from my (British) taxes when your criminal record makes you unemployable.
