I am confused why liberals say they are open minded but in reality they look down and scorn people who don't agree with there ideas.I'm confused can someone help me understand this.

Because liberals are hypocrites. Its really that simple.

That is hard to understand. Particularly, when conservatives are so gracious to those who disagree with their ideas. Certainly when Bush refers to liberals as wanting to "cut and run" in Iraq he iactually intends that as a compliment, and it is an expression of his appreciation of the willingness of liberals to help him find solutions for the war he has gotten us into.

There are closed minded fools on both sides. It just the that the right does not continually talk about being open minded.

Liberals are open minded, but dealing with raging, angry conservatives who constantly bash them and question their patriotism is rather trying.

Yes, apparently you're under the misconception that openmindedness means that we don't disagree with anything. So your attempts to bait openminded people with "if you disagree with me you're not openminded" holds no water.

It's not really a very subtle distinction but can you grasp it anyway?
