Chandrasekhar had nothing to do with the hydrogen bomb and the sun was known to produce energy through fusion long before he was born. His work was in predicting the existence of degenerate matter in dead massive stars. Now known as neutron stars.

I cannot see why anyone would downrate TAXIRIDE's answer. It must be from someone who knows nothing about science. Fire is a chemical reaction and fusion is a thermonuclear reaction. Have you ever heard of the Hydrogen Bomb? Huge amounts of energy were released when it was denotated, and not because of fire either.
