I don't know anything about cars. So, I went out to help him. I brought my cordless drill and started unscrewing wires and everything, and by the time I was done their was parts everywhere. He got all pissed off and pushed his car outta my driveway and called a tow company. I just unscrewed a few wires, and the air filter thing, and the radiator hose.... Oh, I don't know whats wrong!

Well heres a hint:

You DONT walk outside with tools and then start taking portions of the mans car apart when you have absolutely no knowledge of cars! LOL!

That has to be one of the most hilarious stories Ive ever heard. Thank you for sharing this I'm laughing to the point of snorting.

next time try telling him you have no idea and call a tow truck for him or possibly ask a neighbor who is more car savvy.

I would have handed him the phone and told him to call a tow truck, then closed and locked my door. I know it sounds rude but you can never tell about people now a-days. And if it was just a loose battery cable he should have been able to fix that no problem.....

I would have told him sorry and he should call on his cell phone or walk to the nearest payphone and call a tow service b/c you cant really block my driveway. (This all in a very nice tone.) And of course, this would be IF I had answered the door.

This world is crazy!!!

I'd call a mechanic for him .... but I'm a woman and wouldn't step out of my house to help a strange man, even if it was in my driveway. That side to side moving thing would make me nervous, too .... was he high or something?

When a person is in trouble one should stop to help them. This is what I was taught but I have trouble implementing. I must admit, I would like to think I would help him with an open heart but I am unsure. Acting in such a familiar way would throw me off. Likely I would ask if they have AAA and offer to call for him.

I would ask him if there was someone you could call for him and if he said no I would say well then I will call a tow truck and have your vehicle removed from my property at your expense. I'm sure he would very quickly think of someone to call.

First of all I was wondering what you did. Then I would like to know if you were alone in the house. If I felt like I could help ,I would of probably tried even if to get the car out of my drive. But I think I would of been very careful of his actions and been very watchful. Kinda scary though.

It does suck, but I always try and help when someone needs it,
If it happens and it frusterates you just think of it like this, Karma always comes in three, Good or bad,
So by you helping them, not only did you prove there are still good people left in the world, but Karma will pay you back.

I'd say "I don't know, let me get you some help" and call the local police. If he's really just broke down, they'll help him out. If he's trying to con you or hurt you in some way, they'll take him away.
