Can't Stop This Thing We've Started
Rumors about Brooke's pregnancy run rampant -- plus, Lupe Fiasco performs.
What's the drama:
Deb wakes up to Karen, Nathan, Haley… and Dan in her living room. They're all joined by a counselor. They've cleaned out her house and Nathan has a bag full of her pills. But Deb tells the counselor that she's wasting her time. If she spent a day with those people, she'd be an addict, too. Across town, Brooke tells Rachel that she's not pregnant -- but Rachel refuses to believe her and insists she get an abortion. As they bicker, Brooke snaps practice photos of Rachel -- she's prepping for the big Maxim shoot. And speaking of shoot, Lucas begins to worry about the kind of photos Derek is taking of Peyton. And Haley is shocked when she finds out that Nathan traded his car for $200 and a motorcycle.
What's up with Brooke:
Brooke is accosted at school by a girl named Shelly, a "Clean Teen," who wants to encourage her to have the baby. Brooke continues to deny the pregnancy. But the girl insists that she will be there for her. She invites Brooke to be in their club, "Clean Teens: Virgins for Life." But Brooke tells her to mind her business -- so Shelly loudly congratulates her on her pregnancy as she walks away. Later, Shelly apologizes to Brooke and as they talk, it's revealed that Shelly is not a virgin -- just a reborn virgin. Brooke calls her out. She's a hypocrite virgin!
What's up with Dan:
Dan pays a visit to the counselor and in confidence tells her that he killed his brother. He explains that he allowed Keith to go in the school when he shouldn't have. So it's almost like telling the truth, just not all of it. The counselor asks Dan when things changed between him and his brother. He admits that it was after he drove all night to be there for Karen when she gave birth. But when he got there he saw Keith by her side -- holding his baby. When the counselor asks Dan if he's still in love with Karen, he says maybe.
What's up with Nathan:
Nathan gets a surprise visitor in class as he takes a test. It's Deb! She wants her drugs back. Nathan tells her it's him or the pills. She chooses the pills and storms out the door. While he is on his way home, he rides his new motorcycle like a madman. He gets cut off and lays down the bike. He just gets a little road rash, but it's enough to freak out his wife. Haley tells him to get rid of the bike and she'll deal with his mother.
What's up with Haley:
Haley shows up on Deb's doorstep and tells her to leave Nathan alone. Deb snidely informs her daughter-in-law that Nathan will eventually discover that the boy will find playing college basketball is more fun than playing house -- she'll save her some pills.
What's up with Lucas:
When Lucas gets home from school, Whitey and Karen are there to tell him they want him back on The Ravens. But he must stay on his medication and he will be limited to 15 minutes of play a game. He tells them thanks, but no thanks. To have basketball back halfway would be harder than not having it at all.
What's up with Peyton:
Peyton and Derek continue to get closer. As Peyton gets ready for the big concert, Derek thanks her for letting him in to her life. His sister then tells him something she hasn't told anyone. She's going to tell Lucas how she feels. Derek is not pleased.
What's up with Rachel:
At TRIC, Rachel offers Nathan a real drink. After he discovers he can't get his car back, and his mother picked pills over him in front of his whole class, he takes her up on the offer. And he gives her back the nearly naked photo of her that ended up in his locker. After Rachel's typical come-ons fail, she plays the accident card and asks him what he saw under the water. She knows he saw something. He's suddenly more interested.
What's up with Karen:
Karen is working hard during the Lupe Fiasco show at TRIC, but that all stops when Deb arrives and orders a drink. She informs her friend that she's fired. Their agreement at the Café was never on paper, but Deb is the majority owner of TRIC. And Karen is out. Later, Dan catches Karen at home and tells her that he talked to Lucas -- hopefully he talked him into sticking with basketball. Karen invites Dan to stay for coffee.
What's up with Mouth:
Mouth tells Rachel that he knows that Brooke is pregnant. Rachel is nonchalant about it, telling him they should take turns driving her to the clinic because there's no way Brooke and Lucas are ready to have a baby. Derek overhears the conversation and tells Peyton... AND he lies to her and tells her that he heard Lucas tell Brooke if she would take him back he'd never talk to Peyton again. Peyton is crushed. Luckily, her kind bro is there for her. Peyton immediately tells Lucas and says that if Brooke is pregnant that he'll have to be there for her.
What's up with Derek:
Lucas confronts Derek about what he told Peyton. Derek lies and tells Luke that he simply reminded her that if Brooke and Lucas get back together, he'll have less time for her. He tries to make light of the situation and shake Luke's hand, but Lucas walks away, leaving Derek hanging. As Peyton cleans up after the concert, she gets a little consoling from her new bro. But Lucas happens to spot the not-so-brotherly hug Derek gives Peyton. As soon as Derek departs, Lucas comes in and assures Peyton that he'd never cut her out of his life. Then they discover that someone took Peyton's jacket -- the one Ellie gave her. Wonder who would have done that?
How does it all wrap up?
When Lucas and Brooke finally talk, she tries to convince him that she's not pregnant, but it gets all turned around and soon he's accusing her of carrying Chris Keller's baby. After Brooke finds out that Shelly actually had an abortion, she loses it. She gets drunk and tells Haley that she can't be pregnant anymore. At that same time, Rachel meets Nathan outside of the concert and tells him that she needs to talk to him about the accident. He agrees to let her drive him home on his motorcycle. They get to the bridge and Rachel tells Nathan that she actually did see something the day of the accident -- Keith in the water. Across town, Haley comes to tell Lucas that it isn't Brooke who is pregnant -- it's her. She's afraid to tell Nathan because he's so close to his dreams. Lucas assures her that it's going to be okay because the kid will have a great uncle. He learned from the best. And somewhere else, Derek pays a woman to dress up like Peyton. She even dons a curly blonde wig for him, as well as Peyton's stolen leather jacket. As he gets undressed, a giant tattoo is revealed on his back. It's Peyton from Ellie's picture -- all across his back.

Well... they took Derek away on a stretcher and he had a neck brace and other stuff on so I don't really think he was dead... he could have been but it didn't look like it. That girl was in the student aid center stuck in a room with Jimmy, Haley, Nathan, and all them. He let her go because she was diabetic and needed her medicine. She was probably in the room getting her medicine and saw the whole killing. I doubt Dan saw her though, but she saw everything and was the one leaving all the messages. Happy watching.
