Pharmacy tech...better pay and longevity. Unless you're really good at selling stuff to an unknown person at the other end of a phone, you won't have much of a career track in telemarketing. Pharm techs can go on to many other medical paths.

Pharmacy tech. People who do telemarketing are forced to lie and cheat their customers. Also, telemarketers are forced to maintain quotas and it is hard to do. Many telemarketers are fired for not keeping up with their quotas. Then there is the rejection part of Telemarketing: telemarketers are constantly harassed by their bosses and the people they call.
Pharmacy techs, on the other hand, learn a lot about medications and are put in the enviable position of helping people when they really need assistance.
It is like wanting to live in sunlight or condemning yourself to constant midnight.

Pharmacy Tech! Telemarketers make decent money but they burn out quickly. Pharmacy Techs can be proud of their proffession and talk about it in any croud where as a telemarketer is usually shunned. If you like to talk on the phone but hate the thought of dealing with pesky friends then go for the telemarketer spot.

A PHARMACY TECH! apparently you have never been a telemarketer? I worked in a call centre - I did not do telemarketing but I took phone calls all day every day - it SUCKED! It was so horrible I decided that I would never take another job that had a telephone!!! Trust me - getting yelled at, hung up on and sworn at over the phone all day is horrible - not to mention the quotas etc you are expected to make.
Telemarketing is the WORST and should be OUTLAWED!

A pharmacy tech definately. Pay is better in most areas and you don't have to deal with rude people. My brother is a telemarketer and gets great trip deals with work but he has a very stressful job and dealing with rude people all day just isn't worth it!

Pharmacy Tech - I don't consider telemarketing a "real" job. The pharmacy would be more stable (and probably more rewarding).

in case you want to be a pharmacist and you're particular you're clever adequate to make it by all 8 years of school, you may in simple terms be a pharmacist. flow to college for 4 years, then flow to pharmacy college for 8 years right now by. Getting a job as a pharm tech isn't a stepping stone to being a pharmacist. Your credit for pharm tech won't flow in direction of an undergrad diploma for pharmaceutical technology/chemistry/biochemistry which you will could get into pharmacy college. while you're no longer particular you like pharmacy, then settle for being a lowly tech. Yea, it quite is a sturdy sturdy interest, yet there isn't any room for shifting up in the international. you will max out at around $40-50k and there isn't any merchandising that'll enable you to head up in the international.
