is there anyway to block websites from knowing wich browser i'm using?
i use firefox and i hate when sites say "you don't appear to use ie, this site requires ie to view"...is there anyway to block them?

yes there is. i remember opera had a choice of what user agent to claim you were. there may be an extension for firefox. there's no reason to change it though. it is not invasive.

You are probably having a problem with firefox. may need to reinstall the software... All browsers function the same... i prefer IE , google or Yahoo browsers..

a number of ISP ( aol ) allow you to block what's going to be considered and by no skill be considered, you may want to as properly set passwords to dam things you do not elect him / her to work out.. yet undergo in concepts your password and modify the password at times

not really. otehrwise sites liek the one that you visit wont properly display, why would you want that anyway?
