Help!!! I have been using powder foundation for years, and I am totally satisfied (I use MAC Studio Fix) but recently I've been looking at other women/college students (i'm in college) and see that their skin looks flawless w/ liquid makeup. So..I bought L'Oreal H.I.P. liquid foundation, any tips for applying it to make me look totally even, and flawless? --*OR.. any specific brands you would recommend? PLEASE, I don't even know what's good, and what isn't, how to do this, or that.. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The best method to applying liquid foundation is using a foundation brush. Lightly tap the brush into the foundation and use upward brush strokes all over. If you need to even it out some, use a make-up sponge in those areas. But typically, the bursh will evenly distribute the foundation in an even layer creating a flawless coverage that is natural, not caked on or looking like it was painted on. Have fun! :)

it's amazing how using the right application will make your skin look flawless. Start with a clean moisturized face and use a foundation brush. you use less product and it comes out much smoother. (not to mention you don't have all that make-up on your hands)

make sure to moisturize your clean face before applying.
use a foundation brush for a flawless finish.
get a demonstration from a local cosmetic counter for proper technique. a foundation brush can be pricey- but it's totally worth it!
hope this helps :D

I find the expensive foundations - Este Lauder, Bobbi Brown...etc. Have richer ingredients and provide really flawless results.
Wash your face, moisturize ....then apply foundation with your fingers.....then use a sponge (triangle) to smooth it and blend it.

I read in a beauty book to wear moisturiser under foundation so the foundation lasts longer and your skin doesn't soak it up. But blot the moisteriser before you apply the foundation so you don't have too much.
