My wife and I have been married 17 years. We have been very careful about birth control. She had a couple of affairs recently, cheating on me, and admitted she had not used any protection with them.
From what I see on the board a lot of the women who cheat do not use protection either.
Why not? Is it the other man pressuring you not too? Or does it just feel more intimite?

I didn't use protection because I wasn't thinking about it at the time. I was drunk, horny, about to get some and that's all that crossed my mind

I think in all reality its the spur of the moment on those types of things and you don't necessarily plan for them so why would you be carrying around protection? It sounds like she just hadn't pre-thought protection before engaging into sexual intercourse but its also kind of weird that it happened more than once without protection. Maybe she just flat out didnt care what she gets. I hope that you havent had sex with her since then that would be sad you just never know people these days you just cant trust them. I guess some people have to learn the hard way, Good Luck!

I didn't use protection. And I actually got pregnant. My husband had his tubes tied after our last baby was born.

I guess I truely did not think about it. I had always been on the pill and then my husband was fixed. I had not had to use birth control or even think about it for years.

The thought just never crossed my mind. I was too caught up in the moment.

I know this does not help you feel any better. But it is the truth.

That is pretty messed up to not use protection. Sure it may feel better but who knows where the other person has been. Not using protection is just asking for some sort of infection or disease!
PS- Not a cheater, just wanted to answer.

I'm 28 and have been on birth control since I was 21. But I will admit that I have unprotected sex on several occasions when I was 20 - just dumb I guess. Thought I was unstoppable back then, have since wised up :)

You shouldn't even be asking this! SHE CHEATED! Leave her. How could you love someone after they've cheated? You shouldn't even have to worry about her cheating A S S not using protection b/c you should be done with her! DO NOT TOUCH HER! Be done with her!

Don't waste your time asking these questions, SHE cheated and put you at RISK. You need to get out of this before she brings you home an STD. If she cared about you she would not cheat for one, and another ...she is putting your life and health at risk. You should go get checked out and get tested.

I never used condoms either, I thought the other person was not seeing anyone and it was only me. Or maybe young and dump. I wish I never cheated and would or used a condom.

I have no idea... Sounds dumb to me... I've been on the pill for most of my life, it would never even occur to me to go screw around without it.
