Does anyone know any helpful tips or what I should do to keep blouse buttons from unfastening from the buttonholes. I think that they made the buttonholes to big and it slips out.

Should I tighten the buttonhole from the top and bottom or sides?

Get a needle and thread and tighten up the button hole. It makes the button hole smaller so the button won't slip out.

I hope someone can answer your question better. But in this case you asked a man and you know what he (me) will say.

NO! Not that! The OTHER thing a man would say.
"Use Duct Tape". That stuff will fix anything. Yes I come from the Tim Allen, "Tool Time" school of thought. Don't hit me - its all done with good intentions.

PS - you might want to make the button holes just a wee bit smaller. Surpisingly, Im not a complete imbecile.

Try getting bigger buttons. Or just put a stitch or two at the end of the button hole. If the buttons are popping open at your bust, you may have a shirt that's a little too small. Buy shirts to fit the largest part of your body, and then tailor the rest. That can be expensive though, unless you learn how to do it yourself.

Go to a fabric store and take the shirt with you and find some bigger buttons to replace the ones that are on the shirt. It's really easy to take them off and put new ones on by hand. If you don't know how, just ask somebody in the fabric store or somebody you know to help you.

Have any of you tried Button Backers, they are a treat!
Just a small clear disc that slips behind the button, but is ever so slightly larger so stops it pulling through! r
Really easy to use and reusable as well

sometimes it's because the shirt is too small and you need a bigger shirt. If you already have a bigger shirt then you can get the button holes sewn so the buttons stay in.

I have that same problem...try using little safety pins on the back side (inside of the garment), get as close to button as possible that way it won't show from the front side. Oh, the draw-backs of having big boobs! ;)

Maybe you just need to by it an extra size larger, either that or pin it from the inside.
