Do you feel safe on the net? If you buy something off the net and then find it isn't what you expected is there time to return it? Or can you? I get some things on the net, but mostly (90%) of the time I go to the store.

I prefer shopping in the store. I like to see exactly what I'm getting and whether it's worth the price that I will be paying for it. You can't do that online. Also returns are much easier in person.

This year about 3/4 of the gifts I am buying from the Internet. I work 2 jobs so I don't really have time to go to the stores to shop (they are all about 1 hr away). I have tried to order most of my gifts already that way I will have time to return and get something else if need be.

I am increasingly buying things over the internet. Yes, I feel safe because I choose safe sights. Also, I use Visa and if my number is stolen and purchases are made, I am responsible for only the first $50.00. At least this was true a couple of years ago.

If you buy early enough, it can be returned. This happened with a wallet for my husband I purchased last year; the exchange arrived in time.

I've shopped on the net for years now. Can't beat the convenience and have never encountered a problem, although I stay with the main merchandisers.

I do both. Anything that might even have the slightest possibility of a return I just buy at a normal store.

Hohoho :)
When buying online, make sure the shop has proper contact details and refund policy.
Buy only from reputed sites so as to not to be duped.

There are some gift that are best to buy online as it's cheaper such as:
*Gift baskets
*Music
*Hi-tech
*Books
*Magazines
*Concert tickets
*Vouchers/Gift certificates

Some gift should not be bought online unless it's a reputable website:
*Gold/Diamond Jewelry
