Heck ya, I only got 2K for my 99 Mitsubishi Mirage and it had 45K miles on it.

Call your banker and have them check their book value. Compare to other used cars that are 98 civic coupes with high miles? Have them kick in the taxes too.

I think it is too much. I would think that maybe $2500 would be fair, it is a Civic, it is rather old, has 163k miles AND is crashed. You have a good insurance company!

More than fair, you would maybe get $1000 if it wasn't wrecked and you are going to sell it. Take the money, put it on a downpayment and get a nicer, newer car.
