Most commonly known Pink City of india is Jaipur.
Jaipur also popularly known as the Pink City, historically sometimes rendered as Jeypore, is the capital of Rajasthan state, India. Jaipur is also the capital of Jaipur District. Jaipur is the former capital of the princely state of Jaipur. The city was founded in 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. The population in 2003 was approximately 2.7 million.
The second Pink City is aurangabad in Bihar.
Aurangabad (pop. 118,052) is the district headquarters of the eponymous district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is situated on the Grand Trunk Road, a road built by Sher Shah Suri about 450 years back. The people of this region primarily speak Bhojpuri (spoken by more than 200 million worldwide including more than 10 countries spanning 4 continents), though there are also sizeable Magahi speakers. The Magadh region was one of the oldest and strongest empires of the world in the Ancient period and its boundaries (600-250 BC) spread across to parts of the (now present) countries of Burma, Pakistan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, apart from India. This was the region about Megasthenes (3rd Century BC), a Greek writer, traveller and scholar wrote with much awe and inspiration about his empire and the people.
In 2006, the town authorities decided to take action about the problems and ordered. The town has been represented in Lok Sabha by one of the most prominent families of bihar which includes a senior minister and no 2 in the State's first government and a Chief Minister and a former Police Commissioner in subsequent elections. that the town be painted pink. The aim of this is to encourage fraternal feelings.

Jaipur...because it is primarily pink... it was founded in 1727 AD by one of the greatest rulers of the Kachhawaha clan, the astronomer king Sawai Jai Singh. The pink color was used at the time of making to create an impression of red sandstone buildings of Mughal cities - and repainted in 1876, during the visit of the Prince of Wales.
