I frequently travel to UK every year as my immediate family are british residents, my fiancee is a UK resident (born). My plan is to come to UK, marry my fiancee and settle in UK.

What do i need to do and what is the process. Is there anything i need to know.

You're getting an un-usually high number of bogus answers!

Here's a good place to start:

There is a process, and there are forms. You need to have a place to stay after the wedding. You're allowed to be in the UK I believe for 6 months before the wedding, maximum. Go with sites that say ".gov.uk" at the end, those will give you legit information.

My situation is exactly the same. I believe there are no restrictions Of course once you get married you will have to report to the authorities and register. There is no problem as far as I know I have travelled to UK several times they never stop me at customs

Ask your immediate family to get you information on what you need to do and what procedures to take. Sounds like you will make your family very happy. Do you like England too, I hope so if you are planning a move there? God Bless.

WHY ???

It must be better in Canada than it is in this crap country, lets look at the evidence........(Lloyd grossman accent)

bad weather
over populated
poor public transport
underpaid jobs
over taxed
poor health service (waiting times)
criminals have more rights than the victims
not enough police and over stretched
1000 s and 1000 s of Europeans coming here
roads always jammed
police and government always picking on the motorist.
gangs of kids hanging around and harassing everyone
crap soap operas like eastenders which is so depressing.

changed your mind yet ??

i'm guessing that Christian fundamentalists exert much less effect in the Conservative occasion of Canada than they do in the Republican occasion. At one time, the Republican occasion became based particularly around financial conservatism and smaller government, however the fundamentalists began to exert greater effect for the time of the 80s, and as a consequence, the Republican occasion platform has recommended banning abortion and gay marriage and advertising different socially conservative rules.

You must be mad, whatever you do dont come to london. You will regret itfor the rest of your life. You will always be skint, its depressing, too many murders, rapes, burgularies, hate crimes. Too many religious zealots.
Im moving away as soon as I can, my family have all left the country. Seriously. Stay in canada.

Why would you want to come to Britian ? Most Brits are leaving as we are 2nd class citizens and are not welcome in our own country by our own government , my advice stay where you are and let the boyfriend move to Canada , you will be far happier ,UK is a dumping ground for all.

You will regret it! Persuade your fiancee to learn French, move to Canada and live in Montreal.
