Absolutely! Their heirs, estates, trademarks, patents..whatever. Whomever is the trustee is in care of the royalties.
Some are actually more profitable dead than alive...Sad isn't it?

Thier families are being paid. Then if the families sell the rights of the dead celebrities work to someone else...The buyer gets paid for all future sales.

u no i wondered that same thing yesterday. u know how when ppl's (famous) songs come on the radio, they get paid, or if they sing on tv or w/e. well wat if u sing someone else's song, and that someone else is dead? do their organizations get paid or something? i've wondered the same thing so ur not alone lol
