1. don't assume that there are major personality differences between males and females. both want to be treated with a fair amount of respect, attention, love, affection, concern, trust, tolerance, and acceptance. outward manifestion from oneself of the aforementioned will gain you a lot of friends from either sex.

2. life is too short to worry. the world man lives in is finite - scientists have calculated the approximate end of the world YEAR, plus man's lifetime is +/- 80 years. so if you're conscious of these GIVENS, try to live life to the fullest. try everything and making mistakes are ways to know yourself better.

3. just because WORK ("work is a four letter word" - the smiths) consumes 80% of your time, it DOES NOT mean that it should take 80% of your life. (you are a person first and a doctor second - Grey's Anatomy)

4. the four right chords can make me cry ("semi-charmed life" - third eye blind)

5. just because you are alone, it doesn't mean you're lonely.

6. it is one thing to understand a person's words, but it is something special to understand his/her silence.

7. dogs are loyal, navy blue is royal, and at one hundred degrees - water will boyal. but at 98°, its the hardest thing.

Patience. I can wait for most anything. I used to be so impatient and it caused many problems. But after growing up a little and watching my kids grow, I don't want time to go by so quickly. Even when it's rough I can wait. When easier times come it is just that much more enjoyable. Enjoying the time we have and not wishing it to go by, what else is there?
