It is quite a debatable question that who can be referred as the best batsmen in the world. There are several parameters to judge who is the best. If you just go by the runs scored or records set by the batsmen then surely Sachin Tendulkar stands firm in this list. But I firmly believe that the best batsmen is not one who scores the maximum runs or sets the record but one who wins most number of matches for his team. As you can see 95% of man of the matches awards are given to a batsman of winning team rather than losing team even if the batsman of winning team scored less than batsman of losing side. But ofcourse runs or records also matter to some extent. On the basis of all these factors, my picks are Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Brian Lara. Out of these two, I would pick Brian Lara. He has got everything. He has got the technique, runs, records. He has got a unique style. He can play according to the situation of the game and above all, he has won plenty of matches for his team specially when his team badly needed his runs. I picked Lara ahead of Sachin, Ponting or other players because most of his runs came against good quality attacks i.e. attacks of Australia, England and South Affrica. Further he has got the ability of playing a very very long innings. As you know he has set the world recod of highest test score in a test inning twice. He is only one to touch the 400 runs in a test innings. He is the only one to touch 500 mark in an inning of first class cricket. In one day too he has the highest score of 169. That tells his ability of playing long innings once he gets set. Further you should note that he is the member of a team which is not performing very well for number of years so it adds extra pressure on him. So because of these qualities this great man possesses makes me my number one batsmen in the world. Whether it makes you to be your number one batsmen???

Sachin Tendulkar beyond any doubt as he holds the record of highest centuries in Tests (35) and One Day Internationals (40)
and highest runs in One Day Internationals, which records will
remain unbroken for the years to come.

I WILL GO FOR BRAIL LARA HE HAS CLASS AND AS MENTIONED ONE GUY HAS THE ABILLITY TO PLAY A LONG INNINGS BOTH IN ONE DAYS AND TESTS.
SACHIN HAS HEIGHEST SCORE BUT AS MANY SAY HE HAS NOT PLAYED MANY MATCH WINNING INNINGS AND HE ALSO DOES NOT PER FORM UNDER [RESSURE .
INZI IS NOT STYLISH BUT HE IS THE BEST UNDER PRESSURE.
