Yes. I can also make a Bridle from a plain rope for bareback riding. Been wrestling and biting horses many years now. Ha!

I hope I do, seeing as I started riding at 4 years old and I'm 25 now.
Simple... Put the saddle pad on the back (make sure its' facing the right way and is not wrinkled). Place the saddle on the pad. Don't throw it you may scare the horse. Try to place is softly. Reach under the horse and grab the gurth. Tie it up loosly first (if it's an english saddle this helps you tie it tigher after). Then begin to sinch it up more. The girth should be snug. If your rinning out of strap legnth go to the other side and tie it up more. If you run out on both sides your girth is too long. Get a shorter one. Always check the saddle girth before you mount. A horse can have a tendency to hold air in it's lungs when you girth up, it will eb lose after they walk abit.

Yes, but before you just go and do it you must first have some instruction. This is very important. If you have not had someone show you how first you could secure it incorrectly and have an accident.
There are also different ways i have seen other fold the knot so you may wants to learn the different styles before you try on your own. The way on the link below is how i have always done it. My mother taught me this way and her grandfather her.
Also depending on your horse you may want to wait a few minutes before hoping on.
We had one horse who would hold his breath as we'd tighten the straps so when you got on the saddle was loose.
I still think if you have to ask this on Yahoo answers you should go to some classes first. Just to learn the basics.

Yes i know how to saddle a horse. I like the western technique alot better than the english cuz the apppy i have poofs out her belly any time i try to put on or even take off her saddle. its alot easier removing a western off a poofed out belly than an english.

well i havn't been riding for 30 yrs i'm just 23 but i have been riding since i was 3 months (with my dad's help). it isn't that hard provided you can lift the saddle my western saddle is almost 30 lbs. english saddles are much easier they just hook westerns have to be looped and "knotted" i some times need help to tighten them now if the horse is 16+ hands high. it is skill though

I do, I have been riding since I was 3, and tacking up as soon as I was tall enough to reach. I would hope that most people who ride horses would be able to.
