Is anyone familar with the news about sex offender Malcolm Watson?
Should Canada have agreed to take him ? should he be registered in Canada as a sex offender?
I personally think the guy is getting a small slap on the wrist, Probation and staying out of the united states come on sexual abuse is a serious issue, what is the court trying to say to other peodiphiles.

What Do you think?

I have always believed that we aren't tough enough on sexual offenders and laws need to change. To get a slap on the wrist and be told they have to register as an offender, which most of them don't is not enough.

well one thing that nobody thinks about is that the registered sex offenders community has a re-offend percent of less than 10. people don't understand that over 95% of all sex crimes are committed by people who are not registered. what making sex offenders register does is make a list of targets for extremists to attack. so should he have to register, no. he should be able to start a new life. people that are yelling to make every single sex offender register and to make laws that prohibit sex offenders from living within 3 football fields of a school, park, or BUS STOP! are just trying to feel big without actually thinking about the percentages and the facts. before you cast a vote on something like this, my advice to you is to go look how they live their lives, how many of the sex offenders re commit an offence and finally, see that there is still going to be a major threat to children in general even if you kick every sex offender out.

There arent any children in Canada? What the hell? He should be registered as a sex offender no matter where he goes. He is a risk to children no if and's or buts. Our children need to be safe. Though he could be a rehabilitated offender and "learned his lesson", he still should be registered. Murders are always recorded and registered, why not child abusers?

All sex offenders should have to register whenever they move to wherever they move.
I'm disgusted that a Judge would even consider an "either/or" sentence on a sex abuse case.
I'm sorry Canada agreed to take him in, they should have let the US have him and put him in jail.
This is one screwed up case if you ask me, in the three years he is up in Canada how many other girls will he have sex with?
This shows that the Justice System needs a re-vamp!!!

I think the school teacher in Florida(sexual predator, who had sex with minors) who got a slap on the wrist...the not so great looking woman who also got busted got sent to the big-house, and the Miss America preditor? She got house arrest...SWEET!

You see, it's OK to be a sexual predator as long as you are attractive(that's what society says).

Sexual harrassement is also loosely based on WHO's asking...
