Yeah, I only post on politics when I get bored. I haven't seen an argument here that changes my mind about anything. When I post a question on politics, I usually end up picking the least stupid answer.

Perhaps it's true in the sense that even if one "wins" one has not accomplished much, and can be said to have wasted his or her time and is foolish for doing so.
I hate to see the term retarded used in this way, but it is a well-known saying.
