If you squat, make sure to do so with your legs spread wide and your heals on the ground, and sit on your haunches.

Go ahead and take off work. It's pointless to try to work during labor, don't you think? Unless it's helping take your mind off the labor. But if it's just making you more uncomfortable, go home so you can relax, that in itself will help minimize the pain. Breathe deep, focus inwardly, and move as feels best. Stay off your back. Take a hot bath or shower.

Have anybody force you to the health facility while you'll be able to now not take the suffering or while your contractions are much less the five minutes aside. I strongly reccomend the epidural.... And if that is your first, exertions will regularly final among 10 and 15 hours so relying how lengthy its been considering it began you'll be able to pass from there... however each lady is exceptional and also you would be in exertions drastically much less or extra time than that. And dont be involved my daughter was once born five weeks early and was once fully great, we didnt even keep within the health facility for greater than traditional.... Good Luck and Congrats!

Breathe, Breathe ...Breathe.... Labour hurts a stack and DO NOT PUSH your cervix must FULLY open up first and the childs head must still come down !!!! DO NOT PUSH!!! You will hurt both your child and yourself. If you breathe slowly and deeply in and out you will not be able to push. and when the time comes to push put your chin on your chest and push as if you want to pass a stool. BUT NOT BEFORE TIME. You can KILL your child inside you and you can rip open your whole insides try to sit up or walk around. If you end up lying down lie on our left side (the walking and sitting up and lying on the right side helps the uterus to not 'block off the main blood vessels in your body and you thereby give your child more oxygen) All the best girl!!! A first time pregnancy can take up to 16 hours, Just warning you, so relax between the contractions as much as possible.

First of all...WHY ARE YOU AT WORK??? You should be at home! And second...Stay active...not at work though! Go for a walk with a friend or your husband so you are not alone, and try and stay in an upright position so the baby can move down easier.

Good Luck!

Walk! Do deep squats to bring the baby down low in the birth canal and help to open your hips: hold onto something strong (like another person, or the sink in the bathroom) and lean back and squat as low as possible. Hold it for several seconds, then do it again.

Swaying my hips helped me with the pain, but I think the squats and walking in between contractions will help you progress.

Sitting up straight so that the baby is putting maximum pressure on the cervix should be some help. Squatting as often as possible will do similar and help to open up your pelvic bones. Good luck!

If this is your first, it will take a while...walking is good...jumping up & down is not! It won't make it fall out any faster!
What are you still doing at work if you are in labor, may I ask????

well first you should leave work before your water breaks and that is the talk at the Christmas party. second walking helps, and try contracting your kegal muscles. ( not sure if that is the right spelling, but you know what i mean)

You need to relax. That will help. I hope you considered an epidural, the pain gets worse. I will pray for you. Good luck.
