Well the major advantage Mozilla has over IE was security but in Vista IE is safer than firefox cause it has an option called Internet Protected Mode and while its on the browser only has access to certain users file so no hacker will be allowed to gain complete access through the browser. Though I like Google Chrome a lot more than the other 2 and chrome uses a similar method for security and is extremely fast.

I'd say Firefox simply because you are not using a microsoft product as they continue to monopolise the world of computers. However you may find that some websites do not funtion correctly in Firefox. As IE is such a standard browser, pretty much all websites are built to work and tested in IE, but the same is not the case for Firefox as so many fewer people use this browser. I would suggest using Firefox whenever you can, but have IE installed on your computer in case you ever encounter a site that does not funtion correctly in IE

On my old PC Firefox was a lot quicker because the PC was slow. On current PC not tried it yet because IE is working fine. Both can be used at same time on same PC. Some websites are designed more for IE than Firefox but it is not usually a problem.

I'd say Firefox simply because it has a cleaner appearance and is more secure due to IE being the "top brand" browser, however IE7 looks alot more like firefox now (i.e with the "tabs" that are mentioned above).
Firefox lets you have different "skins" to personalise it I don't think IE lets you do this.
I notice that pages seem the load faster in firefox.
I reccomend firefox.

One is Microsoft, the other is Mozilla. The best to use is the one you are the most comfortable using.
Personally, I use the built in IE when I need to (some programs will ONLY work with IE), and use a different one for everything else.
EXPERIMENT. These are not the only 2 out there, and most are free for downloading.

Firefox is faster and more reliable. Also you don't have to open multiple windows. You can just open tabs in one window. It makes the desktop less cluttered.
IE is just standard because most PCs come with it already installed.
You can have both installed on your computer and use either one. You'll eventually develop your own preferences. You can download Firefox for free so there's nothing to lose.

Firefox beats all. Here is a great article comparing IE7 and Firefox 2.0: http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,127309-page,1-c,browsers/article.html
The end result being Firefox is better than IE. Firefox is safer, faster, and more efficient.

Although both may be needed for certain web sites and programs My first choice is FireFox. Check this one out, goto download.com do a search on browsers. there are quite a few to choose from. another old fav browser is Opera> Like most other software the one that's the best, is the one you are most familar with and have been using the longest

Mozilla Firefox is good 1
Tabs - the lot.
Tabs meaning that you can download a bunch of pages altogether and call up any one of them immediately.

Safety is the key difference
United States Computer Emergency Team:
"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"
