It's starting to get cold and my shocks are starting to creak alot. They look fine. And after I drive for a while they're as smooth as when I first bought em'. Is this normal or should I have it checked out.

IT IS FAIRLY NORMAL IF THE TEMP CHANGE IS SIGNIFICANT THE OIL INSIDE THE STRUT THICKENS IN COLD WEATHER AND GETS THINNER IN HOT BUT CHANCES ARE THE CREAKING NOISE YOU ARE HEARING IS FROM THE BUSHINGS WHERE THE STRUT TOWER MOUNTS TO YOUR CAR SPRAY SOME SILICONE LUBRICANT ON THE BUSHINGS AND TURN THE WHEEL BACK AND FORTH UNTIL CREAKING STOPS GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND GIVE IT A TRY

There realy is nothing on the strut that should be creaking. I would have it looked at to make sure its not something in the mounting. It may be the rubber bushing shrinking a little and expanding when warm but best to check and make sure there is no damage.

Sometimes the nut on top of the strut housing gets loose and makes a noise, and if you get up on the back bumper and start bouncing it up and down as hard as you can then get off and see if the car bounces more than one and a half times,if it does, you need shocks.

Perfectly normal. Cold weathers changes the characteristics of the oil.
