well if you want to find the "slickest" way out of a tight situation ask a democrat.
"I smoked but I did not inhale"
"that depends on what your definition of is is"
"I voted for it before I voted against it"

I'm a news show junkie and I've heard some Democrats, Biden for instance, discuss a gradual withdrawal plan from Iraq. I've also heard discussion regarding the Iraq civil war and how it might be necessary to divide the country up into three sections/states. No minute specifics, just general discussion, and yes that is a problem.
But, the other problem I see is that you are throwing stones at the Democrats while the Republicans are clearly not successful in their current plan in Iraq. They don't seem to have a viable plan themselves, not one that is working, that's for sure. Now we aren't "staying the course?" How ridiculous. Nothing has changed but the rhetoric. A 1-1/2 to 3 year timeline for the Iraqi government to become solvent has been announced with no sanctions or action against the Iraqi government if they do not meet that deadline. Wow, that's some motivation isn't it? I'm sorry but I'm not seeing anything but ineptness and bad decision making on the part of Bush's Administration in Iraq. Whatever the Dems come up with, it will be there for all to see after November when they take the House and possibly the Senate. Lord could they possibly do any worse than Bush? That's hard to believe.

The answer is for the American agenda to take a more centrist course than the far right course Bush is leading us on. The foreign policy of isolationism is not working. The Democrats will use diplomacy as the first resort instead of military action.
I own stocks and honestly do not know any low income people that own any and few middle class people that have much invested in the market. I am not rich, but it is inherent that the wealthy have more invested in the stock market.
Health care and education are two things Democrats have traditionally been strong on. "No Child Left Behind" has a great name, but the program is so poorly funded, it isn't working.
Encouraging corporations to hire American and curtail outsourcing is another answer the Democrats have for the flood of blue-collar jobs leaving the country. Surely we are all sick of the various accents we hear when we call customer support. Wouldn't you rather it be an American answering the phone?

They don't. If I was in their position having a strategy is the surest way to combat the other partys stance.
Without some kind of common goal they have not been able to maintain leadership throughout America.
Look at the "blue" states. Most are the same who show losses of population every census!

It's not that the Democrats don't have any balls to offer their solutions - they don't have any solutions. In Nancy Pelosi's Speaker envy rant on the Sunday talk shows over the weekend, she was asked what a Democrat-controlled House under her leadership would look like. She proclaimed to oppose Bush and the Republicans at every front. When asked what she would do instead - she again proclaimed that they would oppose Bush's failed policies in Iraq and at home. Nothing new - no solutions. What a surprise!

during the Clinton years, he always did a good job with the budget.. 6 years of failure followed by a week of success doesn't make me a believer.. if in 2 years the economy is still good I'll give W his dues, but he hasn't proved anything yet. and we are still way too far in debt. even though I'm a democrat, i will agree that they are lacking in their national platform on exactly WHAT to do in Iraq. not that i think what the republicans are doing is right, but i do wish they would buck up for once and just say what they are thinking on this subject. i know it will probably be along the lines of phasing out of Iraq but it's hard to say for sure. i have my own views on what to do, but i only have the power to vote democrat at this time.. maybe I'll run for office when I'm a little older and more financially secure though, we'll see :) but as for do they have answers? yes, they have lots of them that are very defined on many subjects and you have the right to either agree or disagree with them as you see fit.

It really doesn't matter as the Dems and Repubs are all in on it together...do you truly believe it matters whether or not we have a lefty or a righty in office? The rich get richer and the poor are getting poorer. Period. And the middle class should be wiped-out within the next 10 years or so.

No I do not.
I think we need to keep electing Republicans so that we can continue to clean up the mess Bill Clinton left us with.

Democrats have no answers, except to raise taxes on working people.
They think that will solve everything.
