I've met a couple of guys on Yahoo. So far they appear to be very genuine. One in particular; I want in a special sort of way, but I'm afraid the distance will make it difficult.

Actuallly , it is because a person I met on yahoo that my life changed drastically. I lived in Mexico before 2000 and I met a girl from China, we kept a friendship from 1998 to late 1999 on the internet, then we met on person. I later went to China to pass the Y2k celebration wirth her. Anyways, at the end it didn't work out so i came back empty handed. The big chaange that this brought was that I never came back to Mexico, instead I came to visit my brother here in the US and I never left, lol. not illegally. I got a work permit because I am a professional...I said, I will maybe stay here for a while and then go back, but that never happened: I met my now wife, in Whom i am in love and there it is. If it wasn't because of Yahoo chat none of that would have ever happened, or God knows what other crazy thing would have happened with my life.

Yes. I met a woman on yahoo personals when it was free back in 1999. She was from Michigan, I am from Mississippi. We swapped mail. talked on the phone and in 2001 she came to live with me. We were married in 2002 and are still together :-) So, see, sometimes it DOES work out!

I have met a lot of amazing people through Yahoo and feel blessed that they are in my life even if some are only through the internet.

well i never tried a relationship but my best friend and i met on yahoo messenger.....that was about 7-8 years ago we started chatting and after a few months we met and he has been friends with me and my family now for years!!!

Yes. I met my fiance' on Y!Personals 3 years ago and we're getting married in April. We were both looking for someone in our area so we never had the distance thing. Turns out our dads used to work together when we were kids......

Not yet but I plan to go to the UK soon to visit a hot guy there that I met here. Maybe several of them. LOL
There is also a great guy in California I am going to eventually go out to see.
