My mom keeps finding excuses for me not to get it so can i just have an adult friend take me?

It depends on your state. I don't think it has to be a parent..it just needs to be a licenesed adult

I got my permit in NJ and I didn't have a parent or adult with me. I went with 2 friends of mine that were 17.

In the state of Maryland, you can have anyone, as long as they have a valid drivers permit and is 21 yrs. of age or older

Sorry but you have to have a parent or legal gaurdian with you to get them... or at least that's how it is in Virginia. In different states it may be different.

it has to be a parent in missouri my brother took me and they would not give it to me
