have you heard of the no sew quilts or they could be called rag tie quilts there is no sewing involved the material you can buy at michaels or wallmart or any craft store the material very colorful and comes in many patterns and colors and basically you cut out the two pieces of material any size you want and then instead of sewing it you have little ties that you tie it together the quilt is very warm and they do turn out very cute!!!

I make rice bags for Yule/Christmas presents, and everyone loves them. You find a fabric that she would like, cut it into a rectangle, sew three sides, fill with white rice.....I put in lavendar flowers and a few drops of lavendar essential oil, and stitch it up. Wrap it a clear ziploc bag (to keep the smell in if you are making them this month.) and add instructions: Microwave for 1 minute at a time till warm.......Enjoy!!

I use these for my kids to warm their beds in the winter. I put it on my belly if I am cramping, my husband puts it around his neck if stressed. They are truly wonderful!! Everyone has enjoyed them.

Merry Christmas!!

How about a multi-generational portrait?

She'll love all the family gathered for the occasion and you'll all have a keepsake long after she's gone.

We've got some 5-generation pics that are a real treasure.

There are also places like imagestation or other "picture" webhosting sites that offer "photo books". You can get a bunch of old photos and scan them (if they're not digital) of family with grandma.. and do a photo collage/flip book that are usually fairly inexpensive.

Can you crochet? If so I would make a nice lapblanket in her favorite colors so she could sit in a comfy chair and watch t.v or listen to the radio.
