However, they must be made up of people you have actually seen play live.

A bit like yours, but I'm not quite old enough to have seen Barry Richards play. I can't drop Tendulkar, but can't fit him in my middle order, so he'll have to play slightly out of position and open - he's done it well enough in ODIs.
Gower's there just for a bit of effortless grace amongst some pretty vicious hitting - an affordable luxury for my own pleasure. My biggest problem was the lack of a really successful, inventive test captain, so I've gone with Warney - the best skipper Australia never had.
Sunil Gavaskar
Sachin Tendulkar
Viv Richards
David Gower
Brian Lara

Ian Botham

The 2000 edition of Wisden Cricketer's Almanack polled 100 players (current and former), administrators and umpires, for the top five players of the 20th Century, so they would form the basis of my team:
Sir Don Bradman (Australia)
Sir Garfield Sobers (West Indies)
Sir Jack Hobbs (England)
Shane Warne (Australia)
Sir Viv Richards (West Indies)
To this, I would add:
Rodney Marsh (Australia)
Ian Botham (England)
Malcolm Marshall (West Indies)
Imran Khan (Pakistan)
Graeme Pollock (South Africa)
Brian Lara (West Indies)
My 12th man would be Sachin Tendulkar (India)

I generally agree with your choice except for the following changes:
1) Sir Garry Sobers in place of Sachin Tendulkar.
2) Clive Lyoid in place of Dravid.
3) M. Muralitharan in place of Shane Warne
4) Richard Hadlee in place of Michel Holding
