Lebron has a higher potential and is a better natural athlete. He will one day be one of the best players (top ten, possibly top five depending on how good he actually will turn out) to ever play in the NBA, but he just isn't there yet. Lebron can also do a lot more than Kobe. He is a better passer and rebounder. Lebron WIll be better than Kobe ever was, but right now they are evenly matched. Kobe has been in the league for ten years and Lebron only three, Kobe is in his prime, but Lebron is only beginning.

The Lakers did make the playoffs last year, and only because Kobe carried them. Kobe is the best in the NBA, he can score and has proven he is one of the best defenders in the league man up. Lebron is good at playing the passing lanes but he is yet to establish himself as a good man to man defender. The same is true for DWade and Melo. This will be Kobe's breakout year in terms of his assists will be up and the teams wins will be up. Last year they relied on Kobe to score and hesitated to take shots. Now they have playoff experience and a deeper team. Kobe will score less but he will prove he can lead a team to the playoffs and make a run at the title. Kobe, for now, is the best in the game. I think Lebron will pick up wherever Kobe leaves off, but right now, its Kobe Bryant.

Every sports broadcaster keeps sayin the next Jordan has been found within Lebrons hands but Kobe is a champion tried and true, Lebron will be a champion but not right now. so in my opinion Kobe is the better player only through experience.

Simple, not even to discuss....Kobe Bryant is better and the best the NBA has. He does things on the court that not other player will. Have some one shoot 81 pts in a game, no mater what, he is cocky, sometimes he is greety, but the talent he has is just too much..I know there are Kobe haters but just recognized how great he is.

Lebron James. He's a lot more well-rounded than Kobe. I can't ever remember hearing about Kobe getting a triple-double, and Lebron does it a lot. Kobe's mostly a scorer and that's it. His other stats are rising, but so are Lebron's, and I don't think Kobe can match him.

Kobe Bryant is better given his past performance and Lebron James is better based on his potential and future performance.

LeBron--b/c he makes everyone around him better and isn't selfish.

Kobe hasn't done anything w/o Phil or Shaq. Shaq has a title w/o Kobe. Phil wouldn't have came back if wasn't in a relationship w/the owner's daughter.

LeBron is what is right in the NBA.
