I made five cakes yesterday. One I used motor oil, One I used ky jelly, once I used hair oil, one I used mop and glow.. and the last one I used the correct vegetable oil.

What would it take for me to know that the one with the correct oil is good?

Taste and see.

That is all I can tell you my friend. Unitl you taste and see that the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is real, you will spend your life wondering as well.

The man with an argument, is always at the mercy of man with an experience. I believed, then I saw. I saw then I believed even more.

Religions aren't all the same. There is a concept of multiple gods in quite a bunch, but there called idols in a couple other religions. There are many factors in religion that only expirience and faith can explain, science can't get to it all. The worst part about explaning religion is that there isn't a scientific language yet that can get to the good stuff. Even as I try to explain, your mind is already made up with the knowledge you have, yet you yourself fail to explain how god doesn't exsist scientifically. It's beyond rocket science, your going to have to explain all of exsitence to me before you can disprove god. Get to work... your quick unresearched judgement doesn't hold any scientific weight when your voiceing opinions with no research of your own or scientifc facts that confirm there is no god. All you got to do to shut a person like myself up is scientifically explain all of exsistence, not neccisarily fair when I can claim act of god on everything, but life isn't fair is it. If you have a probelm with religious people, turn the channel or stop listening, they tend to do that to you. You don't have to agree, but you can respect other peoples ideals, theories, and a lack of scientifc information that isn't all theories.

Couldn't you also "think" and believe that with so many religions out there who believe that there is some higher power that there could in fact be one? To say that so many believe without there really being something there and to say that proves that nothing is there is kinda like saying since many scientists believe in quarks that means they're not really there.

Maybe the reason why so many religions spring up is because it is from one source and because people are imperfect that they have corrupted the original being of the higher power into something not a higher power but fantasy?

No matter what you call God, whether it is God, Mohamed, Buddha, Mother Nature, etc. we all worship a higher power. Religion is what is man made. God didn't write the bible or any other religious text - Man did! And he put in it whatever he thought should go in it. Maybe, 'The DaVinci Code' isn't so far off the truth.

It would take a great movement of free-thinking. In my opinion, there are two different minds, those that are free, and those that need to embrace something. Unfortunately, those who embrace also feel the need to tell others what to do. I think most who embrace religion understand on a deeper level that their belief is weak and unfounded, but if they can get others to believe, then they support their own commitment. They justify their need to believe in something higher than themselves.
I also think that people are afraid to think, they are afraid to question. It is so much easier to believe unconditionally and not think about anything else. This, to me, is the sign of a very weak mind.
I question everything, all the time, even those things that I believe in. It keeps me honest with myself.

the reason i dont believe in god is because i was raised knowing fact from fiction...i was also raised religious but my instinct pulled me harder one way and that was to obviously know that what these crazies were talking about was not and could not be true...not in my reality....but its belief that keeps religion going its been passed down generation to generation most people just believe... they dont sit down and say oh sure jesus split the red sea or yeah right a burning bush spoke to who ever...but me i didnt think on that level i didnt have the need to follow the hideous reality of the believers

Christians may already be aware of this possibility, hence our use of the word Faith. Note: many of the stories in the Bible are about conflicts of faith, and so, even from the beginning, we have seen this.
So, the question has already been asked, but, given that Christians do perceive the possible falsity of faith, what would make you see its possible truth and value?

Everything manifested is aware of God,thinking is the problem not the solution,be still and feel God within your own heart. Let go the concept that "i Know" thereby opening your mind an heart, then "seek and you will find, knock and it will ne opened unto you","God dwells within you as you".
