I have seen the same question repeated from two to five or more times---not a similar question, exactly the same one.

Sometimes people aren't satisfied because they either didn't get any answers or answers they wanted so they keep trying. Sometimes you get a lot of people reading a question and sometimes the questions go by so fast they are missed. You CAN ask -- this is a for instance -- a political question about Bush one day and the same question the next day and get completely totally opposite responses -- it depends on who is on here and when.

Yeah, there was someone who posted the same question about circumcision 20 times in all possible categories. Then a few days later I saw the same question with a very slight rewording under a different user name, and again when I checked the user's account, there was the same question 20 times again. And even that wasn't the end - a few days after that the whole scenario was repeated with a different user name! The user names were "April," "Amanda," and other similar names. I think it must be a form of mental illness.

Because they have the attention span of a deflated balloon.

This site promotes such behavior by permitting multiple questions. I have pointed out to such folks (to no avail) that they are basically saying to their answerers, "I don't care about the time you spent answering, nor will I read the answers, I just want to see my name again."

You also see spammers and advertisers on here all the time. Yahoo really needs to start banning abusers at the IP address level so that they stop reappearing with different screen name.

You can report someone for multiple postings, but I wonder how often Yahoo actually does anything about it. Very unlikely.

Maybe because they feel that some people have not seen the question, and they are desperate for answers

A lot of times people post it in different categories so that they might get a different audience.

They are looking for what they want to hear as answer. Or they keep hitting the send button accidentally.

their computer probably freezes up a little when they push "Submit" when they are putting up a question, so they push the button a few times and so it gets posted more than once. or they are just retarded, not sure.

It's called senility. Didn't you just ask that same question two weeks ago?

I believe the person needs the answer urgently and it doesn't seem to come forth
