My boyfriend brought me into a jewlely store. He just wants to get the prefect gift so I believed him that it was not an engagement ring. Then the other day while I was at school I got the lyrics to the song my boyfriend and I want to dance to at our wedding. I put the song in a border. When I showed it to my boyfriend I told him to write something at the top when there was open space. And in other words he told me the ring was a engagement ring and that I know what will be writen in the space.

That sounds like something I might do. Actually, I'd probably be a bit sneakier about it. I'm sorry your surprise was ruined, but in the final analysis, you knew that he loved you, he knew that you loved him, and the signals must have been being sent on both sides that the relationship was headed in that direction. Therefore, my response is "Congratulations!" Who knows? One day, you may recount this story as a funny anecdote with your grandkids.

Maybe he told you because he didn't want u to feel pressured or he wanted to make sure he was doing the right thing and not embarrass himself and he gets down on one knee and asks u and u say no. I would be so shame I would want my boi Friend to sit me down and talk about how we feel for each other and if we are ready to go to the next level (Marriage) I don't take marriage lightly it is something that is suppose to last for the rest of your lives so I feel he did the Right thing by telling you so you both would be on the same page about this.

Reba your man is so excited that he purchased this ring for you that he had to tell you. Some fella's just can't keep a secret and that's all there is to it. Sure that he probably wanted to wait until the right moment but somehow he got carried away.

how old are you??? You sound really young. He should have made it a suprise but he didn't. Do you want to marry him is the question? If so then it shouldn't matter. If your still in high school think twice, your way to young

That didn't make a lot of sense...if you get upset over things like that, I would say you need to mature a little before considering marriage!

There is nothing wrong with an unconventional proposal. My husband was going to take me to harmon park in nebraska to ask me, but it started pooring rain, so he asking me in the mall parking lot. Finally when the rain let up, he took me to the park and asked me again, it didnt matter to me it was in the parking lot, the point is he loves you and is asking you spend your life with him.

Is he going to write:

"I like Big Macs and llamas"

in the open space.

That would seal the deal and you would be forced to marry him for sure then.
