I thought about a week ago that Jack was going for early retirement, but I'm not so sure now. It may have been a deliberate ploy to get the issue into the debating chamber before the national front could use it as a way of stirring up trouble between different ethnic groups.
Or maybe he answered a question truthfully, okay I know that the last one is a bit far fetched but, they say that truth is stranger than fiction, or do they? Who is they?

I feel the real reason is plain as day... he wanted to talk face to face with someone, I'd feel exactly the same way. It's not racist its just how he felt more comfortable.
I hate political correctness as it allows the media to make a big deal about nothing. Also I heard a while ago, and i don't know if there is any truth in this, but something about the usage of the word christmas being changed to something like winter festival or something... Best not be true.

It was a distraction for the real issue. Like abolishing Hereditary Peers from the Lords so he can fill it with his own Toadies. Whilst you were all behind the smoke screen-or veil-he quietly slipped in a peice of legislation that allows tax inspectors into your house so they can over value it. And, you get fined if you obstruct them in any way. Mind you, a Meltdown in the youth justice system has quietly passed you by.........

Mr Straw, ne Jakob van Straubenzee, is of the Jewish faith. He has seen an opportunity to score points against women of Arab origin, and he has jumped at it. It's all quite squalid.

It was a simple and true reason. When an MP holds a surgery, they talk to and listen too their constituients. The best way to do this and make the communication effective and clear, is too see the face of the person who is sitting in front of you.

There is no hidden agenda here.

He answered a question in a local paper stating that he felt uncomfortable when consulting with a constituent who had her face covered and would ask her if she would mind removing it.
Note that the word was "ask".
I'm sure that nearly everyone of any persuasion would feel equally uncomfortable conversing with any individual whose face was masked.
As usual the media have made a crisis out of virtually nothing.
