Don't people see, or care, about the negative, long range consequences this will have on American families?

Lisa Y: I'm talking about everybody who is legally entitled to live & work in this country.
That, to me, constitues an American family.

I'm with you. Outsourcing is helping to destroy the Middle Class in America. The elite have made more money in the last 10 years than at any other point in US history and the working man is making less than ever. And any country with no middle class the government is overthrown. We are becoming indentured servants, constantly living pay check to pay check. 20 years ago a father could have a crappy job and still have his wife at home raising the kids and be ok. Now both parents work and no one is there with the children. I just hope our fellow americans wake up before we lose everything and must overthrow the government just to feed ourselves.

I have; I was in a job for five years when the company finally decided to outsource our jobs overseas and elsewhere. I was lucky enough to find a new job after only two months, but outsourcing is one of my pet peeves of the business world today. Not to mention the fact that when you're calling a call center in some foreign place, it can be hard to understand what someone is saying because of their accent. I feel bad because I have to ask them to repeat themselves, my hearing is just not that focused at times.

I am in favor of outsourcing. It is a necessary component of the free market. It can reduce a company's costs and thus enable it to survive. In that way it preserves many jobs that would otherwise be lost.
The people who lost their jobs as a result of outsourcing are drawing unemployment compensation and other forms of support, while they get themselves retrained in another profession.
I'll admit I don't like trying to understand some guy in Bombay who is telling me how to solve my DSL problems.

I'm seeing this where I work, and the trend is catching on. I'm reminded once again that corporate America has sold its soul for the almighty dollar. It breaks my heart. We will never see the glory days of old in our country again--not by American hands.

First of all, I want to speak to somebody in English. American companies should be ashamed of themselves.

I hate even more than insourcing. We have people in our company from India and Asia. Most of them can't speak our language.

I think it is a crock of sh!t. I think companies that outsource should be penalized at tax time.
