it means to move around the furniture or other scattered stuff to make surroundings better.E.g
had company over the weekend, so I spent Saturday cleaning, mostly moving piles around to look not so bad.Hence "stash and dash." Sunday my friend came over and we had a nice dinner, lots of chat

Do you catch yourself running through the house trying to pick up as fast as you can? We call this a "Stash and Dash."
if that's what u were talking about it is like when you try to clean up quickly and end up stuffing (or stashing) every thing away in a disorganized manner such as cramming everything in a closet and quickly moving on to whatever else you have to do.

One definition is make-ahead recipes which can be frozen (stashed) allowing you to save time when preparing meals (dash).
Another is to describe the art of running around trying to conceal all the clutter in your house when guests are on their way and you aren't prepared.
