I have the same thing. it started a few years ago when i was under an extreme amount of stress. i thought i was having heart problems because the pain went up my neck and felt like i couldn't breathe. i started having full blown panic attacks a few months later so i saw my doc. she did a EKG to make sure my heart was normal then she diagnosed me with anti-anxiety meds. I take clonapin now and sometimes xanax(not very often) and the symptoms are now under control. if it gets worse see your doc. if you need meds join the rest of us. or better yet find a way to reduce stress so you don't need the meds.

peace&hope

You have gotten a lot of really good answers, but you should still see your doctor. I had the same thing, but my doctor said that it was ulcer's in my stomach caused by stress. You feel the pain in your stomach when you inhale in your chest, and sometimes your back. You might not need any medication, just some r and r. Only your doctor can tell you for sure.

i have the same thing it's called aminor anxiety attack. you should see a doctor. there are more severe symtoms. like shaking, numbness in hands or feet, racing thoughts and chest pressure. you cannot die from an anxiety attack. most people just get freaked out and go to the hospital not knowing what is going. just calm down and exit yourself from the situation. sometimes taking deep breathes or going for a walk. it's your mind making your body have symptoms so that you know how stressed it's getting. a doctor can give you other ideas on how to control it considering your personality and stress level. if your really stressin' out the doctor may want to put you on a temporary medication to calm you. like Xanax, Ativan, or Valuum.
