The short answer is that Democrats don't control Congress.
The long answer is that we don't yet have the chain of evidence we need to make the argument. When the Democrats retake the house, we will restart the vigorous oversight that we need. Documents will be subpoenaed, officials will be put under oath and asked difficult questions, and if the wrongdoing is clear enough to indict, impeachment will become a must. And if it isn't, well, sad as it is, impeachment is not likely to happen. But at least we will have the oversight necessary to find out the truth on so many issues we've been stonewalled on.
So get out there this November, do what you can to get the Democrats in office, and remember that what we really want is the truth, wherever it may lead. The consequences will follow.

Republican majorities in both the House and Senate would never impeach a Republican president unless the crime was verifiable treason. And even then, they'd think twice.
Impeachment proceedings take so long, Bush will be out of office before they get started.

Plain and simply his party controls the House of Reprehensibles and there is no way they are about to nail their boy.
However with the Democrats getting ready to take over both the House and Senate in a few weeks. We may yet see him go down. But don't hold your breath because the puppet master will take over (Dick "the hunter" Cheney.)
For those that want to know what he has done wrong try these on for size. Bush has ordered unwarranted eaves dropping (violating Constitutional search protections), has sent National Guard troops to fight a foreign war (Unconstitutional, Guard troops may only be used if WE are attacked and Iraq never did this), has violated valid treaties (start with the Geneva Conventions on prisoner abuse/torture, and failure to treat prisoners as our troops are treated), has invaded the privacy of every American by seizing our telephone records (I ain't a rag head and I ain't a terrorist either.)
There are more but I've made my point.

Maybe you're new here, so let me explain it again for you. The reason no one has started impeachment proceedings against Bush is because you need to commit an impeachable offense to be impeached and Bush hasn't done that. Like him or not, he hasn't broke any laws, like lying to a special prosecutor--but that's another President, so he cannot be impeached.

Good question. The Dems. say "Bush lied", "Bush is getting people killed for oil", or"he is using our troops to help his rich friends". If they are right, why is there no talk of impeachment?
The Dems. know their claims are grossly exaggerated, and they should be ashamed for making these false charges.

Because, though you may not like his decisions etc- and the war was voted on not just started by him by the way- or his lack of domestic things done like coherent imigration policies etc. He hasn't broken any laws that they could- don't you think with all the whinning and grumbling that they would if they could? Give it a break-you've got 1 year. I'm not totally happy but Clinton, though smart and well spken was a moral jerk so how do you pick? Politics create problems as well as answers. I'm a conservative but not super happy either- education before voting!

It's very difficult to impeach someone if they have not commented a crime. The president is doing the best job possible. If you do not like him, them work for someone to campaign on the democratic side.
