You can have sex right up until you go into labour. I wouldn't suggest it after that, however - not like you'll be feeling much up for it when you're in pain, though!

Ooh congratulations, such an exciting time! My baby arrived 15 days early back in March. As for your question, it is safe the whole way through, infact an orgasm can help bring on labour around the time when babies due! ( well according to my midwife ). Just as long as you are comfortable and enjoying it then there is no reason to stop at all. Good luck with the next few weeks and enjoy it.

Hi We carried on having sex right til the end - although I was fearful of premature labour as the hormones in male semen are the same used to induce labour. Anyway that didn't happen and I was 10 days overdue and had to be medically induced! With only 21 daqys to go you're probably looking forward to the birth anyway! It won't hurt baby now... Good luck!

It is fine to have sex as long as you are comfortable and not in any pain. It will not hurt you or the baby. I was going on 2 weeks late with my first child and my doctor told me that having sex could speed up the process. Didnt work for me though. Not recommended after your water breaks. Take care and good luck.

Right up until u go into labour!! My son was 6 days overdue and after a (ahem)!! I went into labour in the early hours of the morning I would definately recommend it it's a heck of a lot better than any curry or oil!! My friend went into labour by going down our very nice and quiet street on her daughters space hopper I wouldn't recommend that but it was funny to watch!

When i was pregnant with my girl i turned into a sexed crazed nymph + had sex right up until 2days before i gave birth. But you may need to lay in slightly different positions.
1 of my favourite positions was to lay on my side with my man behind. This way my man didnt penetrate too deep or put any pressure on my bump.

All the time you still want to, as long as you are comfortable, unless you have been specifically told by your doctor or midwife not to, as when there has been bleeding for example.
If you are past your due date, chances are your midwife will tell you to go home and make love to your partner to move things along.

As long as your doctor doesn't find any reason that you can't..you can have sex all the way through pregnancy. If you have any bleeding, painful cramping, or anything that just does not feel right....then it is time to stop.
