Is it possible to by-pass wireless networking your Laptop to your Desktop PC without purchasing Card?

We have a Lapttop Sony. We have a Desktop PC from Sony. Now I m trying to hock up the internet, The Laptop is wireless technology. Can I by-pass without accessing a router to it or a networking card?If yes how to I do that? My highspeed comes from Qweust.
